Obama Beer Bucket - 5 Bottles and More...
We wanted our Obama bucket to highlight the Senator's history, his
politics, and his reputation. The Kona Longboard evokes the Senator's
childhood in Hawaii, while Sam Adams Boston Lager brings to mind his
time at Harvard Law School. Obama’s many years in Chicago inspired our
selection of a pale ale from that city’s Goose Island brewery, and we
think he’d approve our choice of an organic beer. A pilsner from the
Left Handed Brewing Co. just outside of Denver, the site of the
Democratic National Convention, seemed an appropriate choice both
geographically and politically - although both Obama and McCain are
southpaws, we feel confident that both men would agree that Obama’s
politics place him a tad more to the left on the political spectrum.
And of course Obama’s supporters will also support our choice for the
fifth and final bottle - Salvation golden ale from Avery Brewing
Company.
In addition to the five brews described above, each Obama bucket comes
complete with a delicious bag of caramel corn, as well as both a
button and a bumper sticker showing support for Obama’s presidential
campaign.
McCain Beer Bucket - 5 Bottles and More...
We searched long and hard for five beers to represent the Republican
Senator from Arizona. Our first choice, Carlsberg’s Elephant lager, is
an homage to the Grand Old Party he loves. McCain’s English and
Scottish heritage inspired the additions of Belhaven Scottish Ale and
Old Speckled Hen (the latter, of course, also pokes a little fun at
Mr. McCain's senior status). Budweiser, the fourth beer in our bucket,
we included in recognition of the Senator's bride, whose family owns a
Budweiser distributorship. And finally, what beer could better embody
the political career of this all-American maverick than Rogue's
American Amber Ale?
In addition to the five brews described above, each McCain bucket
comes complete with one of his favorite snack foods, a Butterfinger
candy bar, as well as both a button and a bumper sticker showing
support for McCain’s presidential campaign.
