Dear members,


I wish to remind and inform you that the deadline for the MDG'S Executive Session for young proffessionals is today January 3rd.

Please if you haven't registered and will like to be among youth leader's from around the world for this executive session at the UN,make good use of today's (Last day) opportunity to register.


In advance of the 8th Annual Youth Assembly next August, Friendship Ambassadors Foundation and the International Youth Council are working together to hold this high-level, specialized meeting of youth leaders from around the world. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the most current issues in international development, to build skills, and to network with the leaders of tomorrow with 2015 just around the corner. Also, a main focus of the gathering will be to adjudicate the granting of fifteen scholarships to attend a technical training University in China in support of MDG #8.

The MDG Executive Sessions is an intimate and intensive version of the 
Youth Assembly. This two-day Assembly provides a rare opportunity to network with young working professionals, UN representatives, and 
corporate leaders within the global setting of the United Nations.

The Annual Youth Assembly at the United Nations continues to be a 
resounding success. Each year it registers the maximum number of 
youth delegates that the United Nations will permit. The Youth Assembly demonstrates what committed, global youth leaders can and have accomplished in support of the MDGs. The program at the United Nations is free after a low registration fee and acceptance. Details

  • The announcement of 15 scholarships to Tangshan University in China. The dissemination of these scholarships will be to talented youth in LDCs. A plan to identify and adjudicate these scholarships will be a subject for development during the YA
  • An overview of MDG successes and challenges by UNDP staff
  • Two days of intensive meetings and workshops featuring Harvard case study method reviews of actual MDG programming by corporate CSR and SE leaders, NGO field workers, and UN staff
  • Special Conference Reception and optional networking Weekend in New York City: Attend the Executive Sessions - and then stay on to enjoy the City with other YA delegates, all weekend long

  • Young professionals, ages 22-26, interested in MDG achievement

  • Members of the International Youth Council and other youth organizations focused on the Millennium Development Goals
