CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
Dear Friends,
On January 20 – 21, the MDG’s Executive Session for Young Professionals will be held at the UN headquarters in New York. Organized by Friendship Ambassadors Foundation in partnership with the International Youth Council, this two day assembly provides a rare opportunity to network with young professionals, UN representatives, and both non-profit and cooperate leaders within the global setting of the United Nations. The focus of the Assembly is engaging youth in achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), corporate social responsibility (CSR), and also the adjudication of 15 academic scholarships.
For this assembly, friendship Ambassadors foundation and the International youth Council will need 10 volunteers to assist with logistical support before and during the Assembly. Accepted volunteers will be provided with a UN badge for the two days and free access to the Assembly. If you would like to be a volunteer, please send us the following:
-Name
-DOB
-Affiliated Organization/School
-Brief Bio of 2 -3 sentences
-Member of IYC (YES/NO)
Criteria for Volunteering:
-Must be based in NYC or can be in NYC on both days of the assembly
-Must participate in a pre-assembly Orientation
-Must be responsible and ready to work with various individuals and culture.
-Must have knowledge of the United Nations system and the Millennium development goals
-Member of the IYC (Optional)
