Hello!

I hope these Minutes find everyone well. 

My name is Paola Garcia and I recently joined the International Youth Council to help assist with the planning of the 7th Annual Youth Assembly. The Planning Committee had their first conference call earlier this evening from 6:00-7:00 P.M. We discussed how to organize ourselves for this exciting and important three-day event that is approaching. 

Attached you will find notes from our discussion in the form of a Word document as well as an attachment that only highlights the schedule that the IYC will facilitate at the Youth Assembly.

@Paola: Great job Paola!! Thanks for taking the notes for yesterday's meetingl. I am glad we spent an hour +++ to run through the minutes and make sure we have a standard format to follow for future reference. I'm sure that you'll do a great job with the minutes in future meetings. @Asha & @IYC Team: @Asha has volunteered to make sure the ACTs in the meeting are all pursued. She will be contacting each one of you on Monday/Tuesday to follow-up. Thanks @Asha for doing this! @Justin: He will be sending out a call-out to all IYC members seeking for members for the Strategy groups by Tuesday, June 1- so look forward to that email. Forward it to those you think would be joining us in strategizing for the Youth Assembly.

@Rebecca: Once again, Thank you so much for letting us have our next physical meeting at the World Youth Alliance. We are so grateful to have you as part of the team. @IYC Team: We rocked it last night! ***It is important to note that the schedule in the attachment for the IYC Minutes has changed, please review the minutes and schedule to see the changes. 

See you all at the World Youth Alliance headquarters on Thursday, June 3, 2010! I will send out a doodle link requesting for the time you all are available to meet. For those of you who would like to participate in our next meeting but can't physically be there at the WYA HQ, we discussed in the conference call yesterday, to channel you in via skype during the meeting and the members who have their laptops will update you on the details of our discussion. @Reginald: Paola, Asha, and I stayed over an hour after our conference call to fix this. Also it was Paola's first time to use piratepad- so I had to teach her- and impressed with how patient she was with 'minute-taking'

@reginald: sorry I'm confused. it is clear that the members of the IYC team are the decision makers of IYC. You, as an IYC member, are the decision-maker/leader of IYC and everyone has equal rights to help IYC move foreward. I am only here to help the IYC and give IYC opportunities that its members deserve. Same way you should. IYC development is due to its members.

is it mandatory for IYC members to be based in the US? and if not how
those who are based outside the US can help if at all their input is
