I wanted to share the picture below of Spanish sailor Carlos Martinez at last weekend's, sometimes, drift fest at the EurILCA Spanish Masters in Calella de Palafrugell. Carlos, IMO, was by far the best ILCA 6 sailor in the fleet, with a 1-1-1 scoring line to highlight the obvious. His right knee/leg position is what struck me the most in the photo. We all know to sit forward downwind when it is light and here is an example. Look at where his right knee is relatively to the front of the daggerboard. Plus Carlos is 6'2"-6'3" so that position is even more impressive. Also notice his light touch on the, admittedly slack, main sheet and the stillness of his body. (Granted it's a photo and not a video.)
