The 2x grip provides great holding power, which helps your arms last longer, and the HTE (high tension engagement) means that it spins when you let it off.
Not cheap, but worth it.
Be sure to get a stand up boot so that your ropes don't get caught:

Southeast Sailboats has a good page about blocks. Ronstan offers a 2x auto ratchet option too. I love it.

I love my auto ratchet . So smooth for rounding. I've been using one for years. One problem be prepared to replace your main sheet more often. Eats mainsheets like a shark eats surfers.
