I wanted to let you know I'm running a new two-part webinar about how to be smarter when you're racing in current! This series begins on Monday, March 9, and will include a detailed analysis of all the ways current can affect your racing. Register Whether you race in current all the time, or just once in a while, this webinar will be helpful for skippers and crews on every kind of boat. Topics will include: measuring and predicting current (speed and direction), identifying parts of the race course where current will be stronger or weaker, incorporating current in your race strategy (both upwind and downwind), how current affects wind and waves, playing current near marks, common current myths, smart rules of thumb for current, and more!   The live sessions will start at 8:00 pm (EDT) on Monday, March 9 and 16. Each session will be about 90 minutes long with video, diagrams, animations, and quizzes. Participant questions are welcome. The $35 price for the series includes: 1) two live webinars; 2) pre-read materials sent to you by email before each session; 3) unlimited access to the replays of both sessions (in case you miss either or would like to review them later); and 4) a link to a Google doc with all the webinar Q&As in writing.
