Tahoe ILCA Fleet Champs is shaping up Nicely!

Hello ILCA D24 Sailors,  The annual Tahoe Fleet Championships are around the corner Sept 6-7.  ILCA 7,6, 4.7 + RS Zest are the invited classes.

Racing doesn't begin until 3pm giving you the freedom to Mtn Bike Ride, SUP, Hike, Play, Brunch, etc.....  you get the idea.  Bring the whole family.  The single track above Tahoe City is truly "World Class".  

Right now we have 17 competitors and growing.  Early September in Tahoe is truly spectacular.

There are a couple of twists - It's being held on Lake Tahoe out of the Lake Forest Boat Ramp next to Tahoe City.  It's a fabulous venue.  This is where we held the National Championships in 2017 and the Laser Master PCC's before that.   

The Alpine Meadows boat inspection station should be pretty quiet given the time of year. 

Boat Storage - Right at the boat launch in the storage area.  

Lodging - We are securing several spaces at the Lake Forest Campground (right next to the boats).  Its first come first served campground so we are going to secure spots starting Thursday night with a check out on Sunday.  Its only $25 per night per campsite.  That's cheap!  I have been checking the scene and there has always been plenty of spots within the 20 campsites.  The sites are large enough to accommodate up to 30' RV's.

Other lodging is available. You can even pitch a tent behind Rick's house in Tahoe City. Other options are available.

Schedule of Events: 

Friday Night Fun afternoon sail - 4pm'sh till whenever - BYOB to the Campground

Saturday Races - 6 races scheduled Afternoon racing when the wind comes up. 

Saturday Night: Hosted BBQ with burgers and dogs at the TYC - Welcome to bring your own special something for the giant BBQ as well.  

Sunday Races - 4 races scheduled with awards to immediately follow.
