District 24 calendar for 2023

Our District 24 calendar is coming together well. Thanks to the following folks for helping us bring it together:
  • Stephen, who's worked tirelessly in the background to get many of these regattas lined up.
  • Nick, for the initial idea of a Google Calendar.
  • Julian, for running some Clinigattas that are new additions to our calendar.
  • Boomer and Tracy, for nailing down the Masters PCCs. It should be a cool event that celebrates Don Trask's 90th birthday. Don solidified the Laser class by building 30,000 boats in San Rafael -- that was almost half the boats worldwide in 1978.

I want to acknowledge that we unfortunately have some scheduling conflicts:

  • US Open & Norcals
... while not all conflicts can be avoided, for next year, I'll work to reduce the number of schedule issues.

Thanks Al!  Just to clarify for everyone: the NorCals at SCYC on August 12-13 will also be the D24 Champs (right Al?).

And that's great that you got a new venue on the calendar this year: Morro Bay! Unfortunately I have a conflict that weekend, but it would be fun to rally D24 sailors for that event.

Yes, Norcals is also the District 24 Championships.

Glad you like the Morro Bay venue -- this is a regatta they've already been running; all I'm doing is giving it some visibility. 

If anyone knows of other regattas we should be promoting via our calendar, please let me know.

Hi Jon,

I'm not sailing today -- watching SailGP. 

Nick and I went out yesterday -- really nice ebb chop that made for some long downwind rides.

We'll be out this Thursday, as well as Saturday for Julian's clinigatta.
