I was on the Stockton  web page and it show this event as canceled ? WHATS UP.  I was hoping to meet up with toshi  and the rest of you there.  The class had a event  in 2012 there.  It was the first event I went too.  I met toshi  and Jim S  and others.  16 years later and I consider those I met to be dear friends.

Wow....

The didnt wait until the late registration date. The price was o.k. ( i didnt go to the high Sierra because it was a little pricey). This event was not promoted Whats upwith that . I think we could have rally the fleet and had a good turn out.  

Stockton for years has wanted a laser event and they got one. To cancel this early is a shame.

It is a bummer that no one besides Boomer signed up. Who else, besides Stephen, would have signed up for this? 

(I myself couldn't make it.)

I would have signed up but I have a conflict that weekend. Let's keep trying for regattas at that location!

(and I agree that canceling it two weeks beforehand is abnormal)

It is a venue I would love to come back to. Perhaps next year! And if we do, we should plan an evening party, too!

If  i remember . We launched at the last row of docks at the Stockton sailing club. The courses were windward  leeward. We went upriver a bit from the entrance to Stockton sailing club.

I uploaded several photos from the 2012 Laser (it was not ILCA yet) PCC Masters held at Stockton Sailing Club. They will give you an idea of how the race is typically held. 

The starting line is set in front of the clubhouse. The  gentle wind generally flows along the river. (The current of the river is almost still.) So, we go upwind and downwind along the wide gentle river.
