Hey All,

Does anyone know which bearings to use with the Kittyhawk trailer?

Based on these dims, 1" axel, 5 hubs at 4.5" inches, I'm looking at these bearings

Also, does anyone know where I can pick up a decent used dolly so I can spare my trailer from the sea going forward? #alwasright

Thanks for the kind hashtag, and sorry you have to deal with the bearings.

PSA: do NOT put your trailer into the water when launching. Unless you like repairing wheel bearings for fun.

No clue on which bearing sizes to use, but for a used dolly, you can reach out to various harbormasters at Bay Area dry storage areas to see what they might have laying around, which you can hopefully buy for a nominal fee.  ACSC, Richmond YC, PYSF, SFYC, StFYC, Sausalito YC, Encinal YC, all have junior programs, which tends to lead to abandoned dollies over time.

For instance, ACSC has a dolly wheel graveyard in the back; you could ask Mike Bishop if you can buy any of those.

You might get one piece at one place, and another somewhere else, but if they’re all Seitech or Dynamic, they should all fit together.

I've replace my bearings many times.  If you take your old ones to Napa or a real auto parts shop they will size them up for you. Sbk is a good brand.  Auto zone  or kraken probably can't help you. Unfortunately  I didn't save the boxes the new ones came in and the numbers are not in my notes. If you keep them greased with water proof grease you can launch from your trailer. You should put baring  buddies on to make this easier

FYI. If you take your old bearings and races out they have number that will help you size.  Also  don't by cheap bearings  on line and always replace the race with the bearings they come as a set for a reason.
