Change in Leadership - International Forest List (IFL)

[IFL Owner]

Dear all,

I started the IFL back in 1999, with the view of highlighting the importance of tropical forestry. 25 years is a long time. In the process, I made a number of good friends here. 

However, over the last few years, I've gotten myself involved in the education of the children of refugees, as well as, those of the indigenous people (orang asli), here in Malaysia.

Teaching these wonderful children takes a lot of time & effort. Many a time, I've to take time off from posting any updates to the IFL.

As such, it's clear that the IFL is in need of new leadership. It's my privilege to introduce to everyone here, Sheila Ward, Executive Officer of the International Society of Tropical Foresters, as the new IFL List Owner. Sheila will be taking over from me with immediate effect, once I've sent her all the details.

Therefore, do accord her a warm welcome as you have done so for me. I believe that Sheila Ward is the best person as the new List Owner of the IFL. I've complete confidence in her integrity & competency. 

I'll no longer be involved in any way with the IFL from now on as I need to pay more attention to my work with refugees. Thank you all for the 25 years here at the IFL.
