Hi, dancers,
We did a dance for Easter (Lett Kiss), for Passover
(Cintecul Iedului/Das Tsighele), and for Ramadan
(Iste Hendik) because all three religious observances
occurred the weekend before - something uncommon.
We have been doing a dance from Azerbaijan called Menim Balam,
or My Baby (Boy). After dancing it a few times, we agreed that
the music is hauntingly beautiful, so we are featuring the dance, the notes, and several recordings. We do the dance slightly differently than the video. We use the same music and have included a clear recording.
We will be dancing next Monday,
April 25, 2022 at 8 PM.
