Dancing schedule, Fatise Kolo rhythm correction, Veselba plays Oct 23 at the BACC

Fatise Kolo is danced to music in 9/8 with the rhythm:

   QSQQ, or  2+3+2+2, or  1,2  1,2,3  1,2  1,2

The "Fatise Kolo" recording brought to IFD by Dick Crum of a large choir is only one that can be used. I prefer small ensemble recordings that sound like they could have been recorded in the clubhouse. So, "devoyche, devoyche" is one of these.

SPECIAL EVENT OCT 23: VESELBA PLAYS AT THE BACC

Veselba is a small ensemble playing Bulgarian music consisting of Bruce Sagan on gadulka, Nan Nelson on tambura, and Chris Reitz on kaval. 

• Start time 7:00
• the first half hour or so will be recorded music
• then a set by Veselba
• a half hour or so of recorded music
• set by Veselba to 10:00 or beyond
