Answer: A dance from this country inspired the creation of Bufčansko.
Question:  What is Greece?

Macedonian women saw Greek soldiers dancing and created Bufčansko, a dance that is similar to the Greek dances, Miserlu and Kritikos Syrtos. Bufčansko is a dance we do often and enjoy.  (Step back with your left foot only.)

 Bufčansko   Macedonia

In the 2004 Folk Dance Problem Solver, Ron Houston writes that Bufčansko was created in the early 1900s by Macedonian women living in Buf, a village in Aegean Macedonia in the Lerin region near the city of Bitola. They had seen Kritikos being danced by
Greek soldiers stationed in the village, and that dance inspired Bufčansko.

Some accounts say that the dance was introduced in
1964 by author and dance ethnologist Elsie Ivančić Dunin (born July 19, 1935)  Biography:

Also by Dennis Boxell (1940 -September 09, 2010)

Dennis learned the dance from Atanas
Kolarovski.
