Hi, dancers,

Tom expects to be dancing every Monday in October, or SOCKTOBER, and he will be 

collecting men's socks for the Corner Shower and Laundry that serves homeless men in 

Detroit.  

On Monday, dancers enjoyed Čapkan Dimčo, a Macedonian favorite that was introduced by Atanas Kolarovski (8/9/26-3/9/22) with lyrics about a lost first love.  Flirtatious Dimco  marries someone 

else and is admonished with the lyrics: "You burned me, you destroyed me...you forgot about me...You turned me into a dry wood...a maple wood."

There will also be dancing every Friday during SOCKTOBER.

This year, Halloween is on a Friday, so it isn't too early to think of the costume you'll wear (or not- costumes are optional) and the finger foods you'll bring to help celebrate. As usual, alcohol is

permitted and cups, plates, etc. will be provided.  Monday dancers will also celebrate on the 27th.
