Hi, dancers,
Happy holidays!
Holiday planning preempted Monday dancing this week, so we're sending
a dance for spring that we haven't done at dancing because it requires blindfolds
and a dozen boiled eggs. It's the Egg Dance, danced by Morris dancers.
Morris Dancing is a traditional type of English folk dance that dates back to the 1400s,
The egg is a symbol of spring and rebirth in many cultures, and this dance is
adaptable for holiday fun for all ages with music of your choice and no blindfolds.
There is an all-ages dance coming up in Ann Arbor on April 11, 2026. It's called a
Family Folk Dance but all dancers are welcome.
Thanks to Bruce for this information.
