PLAYLIST Friday, November 21, 2025

Tom programmed Friday dancing this week, and he presented some dances that
were taught by Tom Roby at a recent dance workshop in Ann Arbor.  Tom reminds
us that, "These are not necessarily new dances for us," and he's marked each with
an asterisk.
Dancers enjoyed the Romanian dance, "Turkey Chowder" or Ciorba din Curcan,
for Thanksgiving, but we're featuring the Ukrainian dance, Oj Maju Maju, as we hope
that the coming season of peace and goodwill will bring peace to this invaded and beleaguered country.
GLOVEMBER continues until December 5th as dancers collect winter gloves for
Detroiters who will need them as the winter weather moves in.  (Washcloths, too.)
Dancing Monday the 24th, but no dancing on Friday, the 28th.
Dancing weekly the first three weeks in December.  Holiday Party the 19th.

Happy Thanksgiving, dancers, especially to the vegans among us who find it
baffling that most Americans give thanks by, well, you know.
