Hi, dancers,
Tom began Monday dancing with the lively Macedonian song and dance
about love gone wrong, Capakan Dimco.  Flirtatious Dimco has married
Mitra and has broken the heart of a young girl.  "Flirtatious Dimco" was
her first love.  We'll never know what number she was on Dimco's list.

The great Macedonian teacher, Atanas Kolorovski  (1926--2022), dances Capkan Dimco
in this 1990 Stockton dance camp video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Sk1dl8hph4&t=770s
(More on Atanas following the playlist.)
"The word "chapkan" (чапкан) comes from Turkish and means "flirtatious," a "crook,"
or a "rascal," while "Dimco" (Димчо) is a common male first name.  (Online AI search.)

JULY SCHEDULE CHANGES
Friday dancing this week (July 3) will be at the Southfield clubhouse
as Rick announced at Friday dancing last week.
 - not at BACC as previously scheduled in the July dance schedule.
Rick is doing a new Friday schedule, and he says he'll post it soon.
He hopes to alternate dance spaces.
No dancing is currently scheduled for July 10.

Monday dancers, there is a possibility that Monday dancing
will take place on July 6, a date that was cancelled in the July schedule.
We're not sure right now, but we'll let you know when and if this change
is confirmed.
The rest of the schedule is as announced with no dancing on July 13..
