Hi, dancers,
On Monday, dancers enjoyed Nemoj Kate (Don't, Kate).
This dance was choreographed in the Netherlands by Josien Teuling
using Croatian steps and was named for a cheery Croatian song.
The dance was introduced to folk dancers in 2021 by Tineke van Geel,
but the song dates to 1997.
The name of the musical group that recorded it, Klappa Ragusa,
refers to a singing group from once Ragusa, now Dubrovnik, a city in
the Croatian costal area of Dalmatia. There are good dance videos
below in Folk Dance Musings, but here Klappa Ragusa takes
Lyrics:  Don’t do it, don’t, don’t.
Kate, don’t listen to your mother!         I am the right man for you.
She says bad things about me ...           Believe me and let go of your mother.

Dancing weekly on Mondays and Fridays in SOCKTOBER.
Hope to see you at dancing with some like-new, men's or unisex
socks that you no longer need or wear - for the Corner Shower
and Laundry in Detroit.  We have 16 pairs so far. Thanks!
