Christine Ann Keragis (formerly Bedick) passed away yesterday

We just received information that folk dancer Christine Ann Rohrkaste Keragis (5/31/1940 - 6/19/2025) passed away while receiving hospice care following a fall.  

We send our sincere condolences to her daughter, Jennifer, and to all of her family and many friends.  

Dancers everywhere know that Chris contributed her time, effort, and her excellent organizing skills to the success of the former Detroit Folk Dance Club that held dances, parties, workshops and dance camps for many years.  Those wonderful dance camps 

at HighScope attracted dancers from throughout the midwest and beyond.  

When her folk dance years ended, Chris made sure that her collection of syllabi and 

vinyl records was made available to active dancers who would appreciate and use her collection.  

No services are planned, but dancers may want to send condolences to her daughter, Jennifer Bedick.  The address will be available at dancing and by request from tsw...@aol.com. 

Chris's son, Dr. Jon Bedick, passed away suddenly in 2022 at age 62. 

Thanks to the dancers who provided the above information and visited Chris just

last week on Wednesday.
