Hello everyone,

Hope this email find you all well.

I would like to share with you all one idea. I want to make a "Ebay
Fair Trade" Store.

Who could give me nice advices?

I want to achieve directly Fair Trade Coffee Consumers around the
world.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Important point:

I am looking for several ways in order to match Fair Trade Brazilian
Grenn Cofffee (non-rosted coffee) Cooperatives to Coffee Buyers
around the world.

In UK, I am receiving a great support from Louise Ely (Just Change),
Ian (Lorna Young Foundation), Damian (Bolling Coffee) and of course
Bruce. I have to thank you all.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another important points is about Coffee Buyer Cooperative Projects.

After almost one year trying to help Fair Trade Brazilian Coffee Coop
I have found important information about Coffee marketplace around the
world that I would like to share with you all.

Find Coffee buyers is a so big problem but a huge problem is about how
to make a trustfull link between FT growers and Coffee buyers.

How could Fair Trade Coffee Cooperatives be more trustfull around the
world?

This is the point!

Often (or always) a FT Coffee House in UK (or in US or in Canada)
prefer to buy coffee from a broker than directly from some FT Coffee
Cooperative because they can not trust enough in its ability to export
or delivery its coffee due to: we are so far from them and we do not
have any agent in his/her country.

For instance, it is easier for Costa cafe to buy coffees in Brazil and
sell them to/for "other small or middle coffee houses". But it is not
easier Coffee Cooperatives sell directly coffee to "Small or midlle
coffee houses" in UK, for several reason:

a) It is very expensive send just 100 coffee bags or less for just one
Coffee House.
b) There is not a trustfull channel between Small Coffee Cooperatives
and Small and Middle Coffee Houses.
c) There are not representative offices in both seller countries and
Buyer countries in order to claim about some coffee traded problems.

But this is just some examples about obstacles.

But how to make a trustful and possible channel trading between FT
Producers and FT Buyers? FT Buyers Cooperatives offices!

I know that this idea is not a new one in UK or in US or in Canada
But this is a so important point to help thousands of Fair Trade
Growers through the worldwide.

This is the point Ian. It is not necessary so many amount of money in
order to creating "Fair Trade Coop Buyers Office", because the
expenses are sharing by their Fair Trade Buyer Members.

One important point: In my vision this "FT Buyer Cooperatives" is not
a "Thirth Part", because it is compound by FT Buyers and they could
run directly this FT Buyer Coop.

Other important point:

What is also necessary on FT Marketplace is some International
Organization that could support Fair Trade Producer Coop around the
world giving them a certification that could guarantee its serious
trading ability. This is a so important point.

So many FT buyers do not believe that a Small Coffee Cooperative
located in countryside of Brazil is able to export its coffee
production.

For Instance, problably will be so helpfull if could exist a "Fair
Trade Buyer Cooperative Office" in London and through it any small or
middle Coffee House could obtain FT Product from any FT Producer
Coop around the world. This will be great!!!

Please, I would like to introduce other important point:

I also though that could be created a "Directly Trading Certified"
also.

Ian, it is very commom in many countries huge Fair Trde wholesale
sell Fair Trade Coffee for small and middle Coffee House for 6-12 USD
per libra.

But is it right? No. Because those small and middle Coffee House could
get "green Coffee" directly from Coffee Farmers for just 1.40-2.30 USD
per libra.

But, again, the most difficult part is because there are not "Fair
Trade Buyer Cooperative Offices" in important countries as US, UK,
Canada or in other countries as Italy or Germany!!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Huge hug to you all my friends.
