Launch of new International Fairtrade Towns Website and an end to this Discussion Forum

Hi all,

I know you have been waiting for this but you need wait no longer.

The new International Fairtrade Towns website will go live on Monday
13th July – spread the word! www.fairtradetowns.org

As well as being an informative site providing best tools, materials,
reports, films and other Fairtrade Town specific information and
resources, the site will also include an online social networking
forum, offering activists and others from around the world a space to
share ideas and inspiration. The online community allows members to
post and share photos and videos, start a forum or discussion,
publicise events and invite others to take part.

I have enjoyed being on this Discussion Forum since I put up the first
message in May 2008, but this new interactive website will provide far
more opportunities for shared action, so I would like to ask everyone
to use the website from this point on for all their future postings.

Sorry to see this Group end but there is something far greater and
better around the corner.

There is a Ning site that will be linked to the website when it goes
live on 13th July.

The Ning site is at:

It is possible to join this Ning site NOW before the website goes live
and start posting and spreading the word!

I have already put up an introductory message on the Ning site asking
people to start making their contributions.

So what are you waiting for?
