to International Coalition for the Abandonment of Sexual Mutilation
I am opening this topic of discussion to deepen the idea launched at the February meeting, to make greater use of the audio channel to develop communication. 2 means of communication were evoked: podcast and radio.

Is it conceivable to create a single radio channel for everything concerning sexual mutilation, given that radio/audio is still the most widely used medium in the world (for example when driving a car), and to broadcast the productions of different organisations: The Bodyguards, Jordan Arel, Brendon Marotta etc.? Even videos could be promoted on this "radio", using only their audio track.

I have been thinking about this very idea for the past couple of months. I will likely be facilitating a group to discuss the potential format of a multi-organization audio/video media team in the next week or so. I have several hosts in mind already and a platform where this is easily possible. I think it would be a great step toward creating more unification in the movement.

Is there anyone who would want to represent The Bodyguards in such a meeting? Ideally it would be someone who wants to be involved in creating a podcast for The Bodyguards. I'd be happy to discuss further if anyone is curious.

“I think it would be a great step toward creating more unification in the movement”  Thank you for that perspective Jordan.

I would like to try to contribute to this idea. Perhaps we should create a dedicated "centre of interest" on this topic with a discussion forum of its own so as not to go into detail on this general coalition forum? I can take care of that. It seems to me that there is a strong link with the "US Federation" project on genital autonomy because initially I suppose it will be simpler to produce content in English, even if it has to be translated afterwards. The most important "market" at the beginning would therefore be English-speaking, with the US at the head. The problem would consist of

1 - producing content by the different member organisations of this platform

2 - multiply the broadcasting channels: as regards the "radio" channel (hertzian while waiting for mobile Internet radio for transport), perhaps broadcasting partnerships should be envisaged with existing channels.

The question of remuneration for content producers and broadcasters may arise: it would be good to succeed in making it a source of overall funding for the cause!

Thanks for the offer Jean-Christophe, if you think creating a new center of interest would make more sense I would be happy to move the discussion there, just let me know when you have created it.

I am more familiar with English speaking, and especially US based intactivists, but I think having content from the international community would be very powerful. Ideally I would love to see content from around the globe both in English so as to be widely accessible and in each country's native language so as to be locally accessible. The feasibility of this would depend very much on the hosts who volunteer and the nature of the content we decide to create. I do agree that starting with English may be simplest and easiest.

There are tools that make it so we could relatively easily broadcast the content to many channels. I also know some media professionals who can help professionalize and market the content. It would be great if we could pay producers and broadcasters and if the project succeeds in creating a massive audience this may indeed be possible. I think for now though, it is best to simply invite hosts who are eager to contribute because of their passion for the work. It shouldn't be a huge commitment, only a couple hours a week - at most.

Yes thanks Jordan. Indeed, I've been growing my moustache for our future podcasting launch!

Fantastic Michael! An important requirement. I'm thinking I should grow a goatee.

Michael if you would like to represent The Bodyguards at the Intact Radio planning meeting I'd love to have you! Or if you would like to nominate someone else from TB that would also work. Sending out invites tonight/tomorrow. Here's the outline I have so far:

Intact radio is a new intactivist media company consisting of in-house volunteer hosts,  affiliated intactivist podcasts reposted on our channel, and regular guest podcast appearances by each of the major intactivist organizations and leading intactivists.

Intact radio's goal is to achieve 1 million views per week across all content within six months of launch - and continue growing from there. Other strategic objectives include improving intactivist public image and molding a positive narrative, unifying the intactivist community, creating new intactivist media resources, and educating intactivists on how to improve their effectiveness.

We will use re-stream to livestream our content to up to 30 channels for each broadcast. This will include YouTube and Facebook channels of existing intactivist organizations, as well as whichever influencers have the largest audience and will allow us to use their channels.

Content will be focused on preventing & healing genital mutilation. In order to combat burnout which is debilitating the movement, we will bias our content and the attitude we bring toward non-traumatic, energizing, constructive, fun, loving, effective intactivism. This does not mean we won't be honest about the harm of circumcision, it just means we will always put a hopeful, constructive, solution-focused spin on it insofar as is possible. Topics may include educational content around circumcision and the intact body, movement and community building, foreskin/clitoris restoration and regeneration, movement strategy and tactics, intactivist news, live call-in discussions among intactivists, compassionate discussions with people unaware of the harms of circumcision, psychological healing, and any other intactivist topic hosts or organizations want to focus on.

At the beginning of each week in-house hosts will meet for 30 minutes and discuss progress, updates, questions, and ideas for new media, marketing, or process improvements. Affiliated members and organizations are also invited to join. There will also be a Discord open for discussions and questions.

New hosts can be added indefinitely as long as there are timeslots available.

All content will be promoted and/or reposted to the relevant Reddit channels, discord servers, and Facebook groups and pages to maximize viewership. This may be done by hosts or a volunteer promotional team. We will also consult with social media marketing professionals on other marketing tactics.

Eventually we may seek sponsors, create a premium subscription option, or another donor rewards program to achieve monetization and increase organizational capacity.

Finally, we may also create "heroic content," meaning extremely epic content that has the potential to go viral. For example, a foreskin regeneration version of this: Solar FREAKIN' Roadways! or an intactivist version of this: I Am NOT Black, You are NOT White

Hi Jordan, this is what I did:
- creation of a centre of interest (CI) dedicated to this subject: Communication via audio channel
- a dedicated forum is associated with this CI
- I gave access to this CI via the CI Development, which is already in the coalition's collaborative platform
- I tabled a proposal in the coalition's Agora to include this CI in its collaborative platform.
- I have put this subject on the agenda of the next TB meeting (this Sunday 7 March) to see if there are some reactions / advises etc.
