Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. As Elizabeth and Alena, I too
wish everyone safe travels and best of luck to us all for a successful
summer in DC!!
Btw, I'll be staying at the Residences at Congressional Village in
Rockville, MD. If anyone else is staying there and wants to travel
together to the orientation, feel free to email me! I'll be checking
my messages today and tomorrow evening and we could exchange phone
numbers or so.
I look forward to meeting you all! Happy travels!

Hello everyone!

My name is Chalisa Wangsang and I am a senior from Florida Atlantic
University in Boca Raton, FL. Along with everyone else, I am very
excited to meet everyone soon and I hope you all travel safely to
Washington D.C.

I will not be living in the residences, however, I will be in
Montgomery Village, MD (which, Christine, is close to the
Congressional Village residences in Rockville, MD). If you're in the
same area (even if you're not!), send me an email so we can exchange
information. I don't want to appear aloof the entire summer because
I'm living with a relative rather than in the residences. Best of luck
to all of you this Summer!

I'll see you all soon! Best wishes!!

My name is Kari Lavoie and I am heading into my fourth year of studies at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I am not staying in the residence either, I am staying with a family friend in Falls Church. I am sad to say that I will not be at the orientation either as my job ends on Friday of this week and I can't fly out until Saturday.
Good luck with your travels, and hopefully we will have another opportunity to meet.

I agree that it might be easier to meet up at a specific time before
heading over to orientation rather than trying to reach everyone by
phone. Without actually seeing the place first, or knowing how long
the commute is, I have no sugggestions.

So it looks like there are a variety of people living in the RAF as
well as elsewhere in Va or Md. Should we meet somewhere like central
in Dc? I'm not that familiar with the area but maybe Dupont Circle? If
not Im sure we could meet at the residential facility itself.

Katherine, your idea is good in theory. I've lived in DC for two
years, and for the three very different directions from where people
will be coming I think it will be hard to find a central meeting
place. For instance, Dupont Circle works for people on the red line,
but not so well for VA peeps. But if we exit at Dupont, we would have
to pay the fare again to travel on to Farragut (or take a bit of a
hike).
The easiest thing would probably be for people from the same
residential facility to get together in their lobbies or so and then
travel to the World Bank together. It looks like especially from the
RAF there should be plenty of people. If any others here are staying
in Rockville, my cell is 216-374-6709.
Also, is anybody else here interning with the Earth Day Network??

Hello Americans,

My name is Ivan Ho and I'm a Canadian from the University of Alberta with a focus on history and a minor in political science. I will be interning with the World Affairs Council. Since most of you haven't met a Canadian I just want to introduce a little more about myself than others. I hope to work for the Federal government after my degree. My favourite sport is ice hockey and if I had to choose a food I like to eat, it would be maple syrup. Also the animal that best represents me is the beaver. I hope to meet you all, eh.
