  Have you guys ever been contacted by the NMPRA about doing an event at BU? They contacted us and want to have an event on oct 17th --that's also PCW so don't know if it'll be feasible to fit it in.

Dear William, Farhana, Jennifer and Brian,

 

I am a fourth year med-peds resident from UNC and am currently the Immediate Past  President for NMPRA.  We are hosting the National Med Peds Resent's Association National Meeting in Boston - October 15th, 2011 at Turner Fisheries, 4-10 PM.  In addition, we were hoping to stop by Boston University and discuss Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency with interested medical students over lunch on Monday, October 17th, 2011.  Do you think this would be something in which you your colleagues would be interested? 

NMPRA would provide lunch and this would provide an opportunity for your students to see what is happening with med/peds at a national level as well as  discuss med/peds with residents from various med/peds programs.  If you think BU would be interested in partnering with NMPRA to make this happen - please let me know.  We are excited to work with you all, and NMPRA is here to answer any questions about med/peds!

We co-sponsored a Med/Peds event last year with the PEDS interest group (I'm CCing Leela, one of the PEDS leaders from last year) - Leela, this wasn't the group you worked with, was it?  It sounds like a good idea to me - lots of people seem to be really interested in Med/Peds, and there was really good turnout last year, plus they're offering to provide the lunch, which is always a plus!  And I actually think this event would fit in great for PCW if that time slot isn't already taken.
