Hi Guys,
There is a meeting this week about Primary Care Week. We have to share how our group was involved last year. I don't remember what IMIG did last year for PCW. Would the veterans please provide some insight? Also, did you have a budget for an event and what was it?

Each group was supposed to have RSVPed by Monday, but this slipped my mind. I can attend the meeting. Brian or Jennifer will either of you guys be able to attend? Either way, apparently we need to discuss beforehand which events we'd like to sponsor.

Please respond with your 2 cents.

Thanks,
Farhana

Hello!

We'd like to have a collaborative meeting between FMIG, IMIG, PEDS, and AMSA regarding plans for Primary Care Week. Please respond by Monday 9/5 if you are able to send 1-2 representatives to a lunch meeting next Thursday 9/8 11:30-12:30

On the agenda:
- Setting tentative date for the event
- Share what your group helped sponsor last year
- Come prepared with speaker ideas. Details include who to contact, their availability, what the event is and how it relates to primary care.
- Each representative will give an estimate for their group's budget

We were hoping that the purpose of the meeting not be to brainstorm ideas for speakers, but rather to outline a plan for the week. We ask that you will discuss beforehand with your groups the individual events that your group would like to sponsor.

Very excited to collaborate with all of you!

Best,
Gayatri Boddupalli and Laura Wong

Hey everyone,

Last year we held a "Primary Care Pathways" dinner event on the Thursday night (I believe) of PCW.  We had a panel of primary care speakers - one apiece from IM, FM, Peds & OB/GYN.  They discussed their career paths, strengths/challenges of practicing primary care, gave advice on choosing a field etc....  Last year, each of the main primary care groups each sponsored one PCW event and paid for it by themselves - so we got 50% of it from SCOMSA funding and paid for the rest out of the IMIG budget.  At the brainstorming meeting last year, all groups picked one event they wanted to do and took it from there, and I'd bet they have a ton of leftover ideas from last year.

Let me know if I can be of any help!  Hope you're all well.

Maria
