The printer is broken.

Specifically, the bushing holders on the X-axis motor mount and the X-axis
idler are broken. These are printed parts. One side or "ear" if you will
of the bottom bushing holder on the X-axis idler is completely broken off.
I've put it in blue tape and taped it to the front Y-axis mount in hopes
that it doesn't so easily get lost. One ear of the top bushing holder on
the X-axis idler is cracked enough that the bushing has slipped out. On the
X-axis motor mount, the bottom bushing holder seems intact--the only one of
the four (top and bottom on each of the motor mount and on the idler) still
intact. The top bushing holder on the X-axis motor mount is also cracked
and loose, though not quite so thoroughly.

I have some pictures that might better illustrate this, but I think the
bottom line is that we need to replace these parts. The only thing that
pops into mind now is to get parts printed at Shapeways or the like.

I don't know when or how they were broken. I can only speculate.

Interesting. I'll be in Thursday to see if it's something that can be
patched and limped along to print its own replacement. If not, we'll
figure something else out.
