Dear Lisp friends,
ELS 2023 is rapidly approaching. We are looking forward to welcoming you all to Amsterdam in just a matter of days.
I have just been putting some more information on the conference web site about how to reach the venue and get around Amsterdam, as well as some tourist events in and around the city.
If you have any questions that I can help you with, feel free to ask them here or mail me in person.
Before the conference itself, there will be a Historical Boat Tour of the Canals of Amsterdam on Sunday afternoon, April 23rd. It will be presented by Koen Kleijn, Editor in Chief of Ons Amsterdam (https://onsamsterdam.nl
), the preeminent monthly magazine on the history of the city. In an entertaining and informative way, he will tell stories of Amsterdam through the years in an informal setting as we tour through its canals by boat.
The duration of the tour will be two hours and there will be a charge of €25 per person. Since the boat is open-topped, the tour will not go ahead in the event of rain.
The number of participants is limited. If you would like to join, please email me directly.
