X-IC-Script and Backbutton

To update Metadata I use X-IC-Script that calls a function that has a Json as Parameter. Navigating on the page works fine. But using the Backbutton is still a problem. The metadata does not get updated as the function is not called. So my question: Is the X-IC-Script present in the snapshot that intercooler handles? How can I trigger it? Or is there a more suitable way to update metadata?
