Yes, another starting problem with Interbase SuperServer for Linux
(Mandrake 7.2)

I've installed the Interbase SuperServer 6.01 for Linux successfully
with the the -S option from the ./install script.

When I attempt to start ./gsec the following message is echoed:
"Connection rejected by remote interface
unable to open database"

I am logged in as 'root'.

I thought it might be that ibserver is not running, so it try ./ibmgr
-start, and the following message is returned:
"check %INTERBASE/interbase.log file for errors
can not start server"

the log file reports:
"SERVER/process_packet: connection rejected for 'root'"

Another question...how can I tell if ibserver is already started?

Please help .... soon
