Hi

I'm using RH 6.2 with IB SS

I get a failure in the log errno = 111

And when I try to connect to interbase from a windows machine i get
undefined service gds_db/tcp

I look into the /etc/services file and it seems to be okay on port 3050/tcp.
I created the file etc/host.equive.
with only the +

What's wrong ??

man hosts.equiv

This entry must exist in services on the Windows machine too.
make sure windows\services contains a line
gds_db 3050/tcp # InterBase Server
and that there are some empty lines at the end of this file.
