Welcome to Code Clinic --- PLEASE READ

Students will post topics via email with their coding issues. They will not have web access to this forum. Our task is to respond back to them privately with advice based on viewing their code. Here are the operational details of the Code Clinic.

Selecting a post to respond to:

Hit refresh on your browser. (Unfortunately, the group does not update live.). If the refresh page includes a small orange rectangle that mentions pending messages, please click and select the messages for posting. (Google's spam filter is very aggressive.)
Select an unstarred topic that has been updated by a recent post or response from a student (not an answer from a member of this group).
Hit the star button to indicate that you are preparing a response. This action alerts other responding to posts in the Code Clinic that you are preparing a response.

Preparing a response:

Student posts should involve something that can't be posted in the forums due to Honor Code restrictions. Please do not respond to non-coding questions; the forums are the place for those issues.
Insist on a CodeSkulptor URL for their code. In my experience, being able to run their code is invaluable.
If it's appropriate, edit their code and send back a CodeSkulptor URL. I've found that explaining and fixing small errors to be very time effective.
Please sign your response with your first name.

Sending a response:

VERY IMPORTANT: When the response is ready, be sure and use the pull down menu to the right of "By" to select "Post on behalf of Interactive Python". If you respond under you own name, all subsequent email will be sent to your Gmail address which makes coordinating future responses difficult.
Hit the "Post" button
Hit star again to un-selected the star and prepare the thread for a subsequent response if necessary.
