lol @ 1st , 2nd and 3rd point :)

well, the culprit of the lag is the OS itself, vista, not like 7 where VRAM are not copied or duplicate in the RAM itself, vista does that and make a system crawls with system that have high shared memory to IGP + low system RAM ..change to 7 and u'll be fine :)

yeah go for 7 but just to let you know kid that game runs better on XP
so you should get DUAL BOOT XP/7, Angelix is right VISTA is no good,
its a safe system but not a fast one....

i dont understand why still people using VISTA? i rather use MS DOS...

meh I wasn't on vista long enough to test how performance was, but it
sounds like a Windows ME imo (and ME was bad lol)

Vista wasn't so bad, just wasn't made for netbooks, which should be an
indicator of performance. There is no point in using vista when 7 is
available. Before, absolutely, using a more stable OS when compared to
ancient xp.

Bottomline, switch to Windows 7 (excluding Starter and Home Basic
editions).

tweaking the settings of the game and also the config file of the
game... how? its an art, and its all up to you.

Every game has a config file in the folder where the engine of the
game is located, most of the times its named SYSTEM, look for it.

check this site it will will you some ideas on how to tweak cfg files
