Does anyone know a way to get any MD working on this? Its actually a
good little chip for a Netbook. I can do WoW, HL2, etc...

No MD for the 3150 that I know of just yet.

Why would you buy a Netbook to play games anyway...... actually, why
would you buy a netbook... those things are crap

Well it runs WoW, Gothic 1+2, Max Payne, HL2, pretty much anything
post modern (if I use XP as there has always been a HUGE difference vs
7 or vista in performance with these chips). This is ON BATTERY for at
least 6 hours.
I didn't buy it for games, I bought it for school. It does, however,
run them smoothly. Some even on high settings.

It isn't too bad being able to go on a vacation, tether internet via
my phone, and surf or play WoW or some other online game. All from
something that can almost fit in my back pocket.

I put all the device ID's and other sh*t in the inf and got it to
install, but I dont think it installed correctly as it identifies my
device as "Intel GMA 3150" instead of the modded driver name.

Now when you say huge differences in XP vs 7, what exactly do you
mean? Does XP perform better then 7 or vise versa?

i think he mean XP have the advantage over 7 or vista...

but i have to admit, intel 3150 is kinda better than my GMA950 it self, well, not clock wise, but it really has hardware tnl, which it doesnt rely on ur cpu to bog u down....
and i know that netbooks are crap for hardcore users, but i know how it feels to be not at home all the time to use my main desktop, so a netbook with insane battery time is what i really want now, not those gaming laptop which can make me suffer real bad on my old days with back pain..lol ^^....it's users choice what's all about...

about ur question TimmyP, im not really sure if there a driver for it, ur best bet is GMABooster, which have no solid proof that it work with GMA 950, but i donno if it will work with 3150, no official support that is...also im not sure if the intel 3150 is a children of the GMA3100 series, so making a modded driver from other driver is subjective..modders can make a driver from scratch, but it'll take a lonnng time ...gimme ur device id and i see what i can do ..

cheers ^^

I've also got a GMA3150 in my new netbook.
AFAIK its a netbook release of the X3100 (GMA965)
I've not tried any modded drivers on it yet, as I've been unable to
ascertain which would be useful. The only one I considered trying
appeared to be 64bit only, and its a 32bit cpu in this thing.

It does 'feel' slightly more powerful than my old GMA945 bearing
device. I can watch youtube videos now for example.

In response to NeoDragon. There are many reasons why somebody would
buy a netbook. Portability is a big plus. I carry mine with me
everywhere I go, 24/7. So weighing only 1KG and fitting in my handbag
is great. I could not do that with a full sized laptop.
Also price is another bonus. Due to low income a £200 netbook is a
major purchase. I'm talking a years saving. There is just no way on
earth I could raise the money required to purchase anything bigger.

I've not tried this one on XP yet. I mainly run linux which makes for
a much smoother experience on these small machines.
On my old netbook XP secured drastically improved fps over Win7.
Double in some cases. This thing using stock drivers performs as well
under Win7. As did the 945 under XP with modded drivers.

I'll try XP on here when I'm next home for a spell next month.
