Minecraft should run well on that PC.
I'm playing it on my 1.2 GHZ (C2D U7600) with a X3100 (Windows 7 x64
and Sigma 3) and it plays fine ;)

Minecraft has been known to use a lot in terms of RAM, but with proper tweaks, you should be fine.
