What I coudn't understand is that the Splinter Cell Tool called
"detectionui_r.exe" tells me that my onboard GMA 950 supports
everything of the game, but after that fails even to launch.
But the light casted upon me and I found (what was there anyway) the
9xx SSF man!
After all this I want to thank you all very very much! You're not just
soldiers, but Heroes!
Splinter Cell: CT runs really fine on my config:
GMA 950 - 128MB
Intel Core 2 Duo e7500
2GB RAM
Modded Drivers for XP - latest
3D Analyzer - latest!
All I had to do is what MAD_BEAST said:
check
*EMULATE HW TnL Caps
*Force SW TnL
Thank you again Sirs!
I'll try to test other games too! Cheers!
as i always said... your joy is the reason of our struggles :)
just to make sure are u using V1.2 for XP right?
well the good news is that we planned to make togheter a MD for XP...
which is going to be awesome probably the best... we can forget deadr
XP who gave us a lot :D
and remember to use GMA booster
and create Hardware profile for gaming... its one of the best thing u
could do for a xp based machine.
and thank you for being part of the revolution.
MD for XP, this can be awesome! Increasing the XP perfomance in
general you mean? I can't wait to test that!
Do you have any link to "how to" create a hardware profile? I know
there's a function in control panel, but never used! I'll look into
it.
You have my thanks too, all that engaged on modded drivers and the
like.
And the Game Booster..great soft indeed. When u turn it on and switch
to "Gaming Mode" (check Show all application), it'll remember the
processes and apps u chose. I guess that's what MAD_BEAST was talking
about
Yeah, I'll try the GMA Booster, I google it and words says that it set
a higher frequency but with no temperature changes... is that right?
If so, I`ll solid use it!
As I can only test all the suggestions at night (I`m from Brazil, so
its midday now), I`ll only have the test results posted tomorrow! But
hey, thanks anyway!
ill explain whats the IDEA of a hardware profile and then google it.
A hardware profile, is selected from the boot, after it has been
created.
In a harware profile you choose what services will work while you use
a determnied profile.
for exmaple i had 3 hardware profiles
-REGULAR (everything as microfost set up) ~400-800MB used RAM
-ONLINE GAMING (just the system services needed to run the system and
internet connection) ~200MB used RAM
-OFFLINE GAMING (just the necesary services to run the system) ~100MB
used RAM
this is for using the services you need. look for balck viper tweak
guide in order to create the hardware profile for XP
HDW profiles are creating through advnaced system options (rght click
computer) somewhere there... i dont remember cause WIN7 has no HWD
profiles.
Thanks for the intel! See ya!
Well, I tested my system with GMABooster (400MHz setting) and it
crashed many games, I don't know why. Fable got a crash, Splinter Cell
wasn't able to run. So I uninstalled GMABooster, uninstalled all the
chipset drivers, and reinstalled (original + modded). Now my Splinter
Cell CT run, but with the resolution of 320-ish. I modified the values
(800x600 both fullscreen and viewport) in the "SplinterCell3.ini",
checked it to be read-only, but during the game running, it set's the
resolution back to 320, bypassin the "read-only" status. This is
annoying, anybody knows how to fix this?
Thank you all in advance!
PS.: I'm using 3DAnalyzer. And Splinter Cell is in the latest version.
about the resoltion do it manually from the config file in the rootof
the game.
i used to play it with no problems 80% of FX on max and highest res...
oh now i see u alredy chnaged it from the cf file... i have no idea
then. :(

Well, I was wrong, the command line is applied only on the shortcut,
but since 3D Analyzer only run EXE or BAT, it doesn't run a LNK
(shortcut file extension). I have to activate and wait the right
resolution over and over again until it works, then I can play the
game lol!
Sorry again guys! Cheers!
after you applied the 3DA settings i gave u... the games worked fine,
right?
ans suddenly aproblem appeared...
what happened that generated that resolution problem?
