Does anybody know if the the 945gm graphics chip has a has a pll I
could use in clockgen or something so could over clock it? ( im not
talking about GMABOOSTER im talking a real overclock beyond 400mhz) I
all ready successfully overclocked my (Yonah) core duo 1.73ghz cpu to
1.75ghz. Is there anyway I could overvolt the cpu so I can overclock
past 1.75ghz without BSODing. If needed for decent overclocking is
there anyway to overvolt the 945gm graphics chip? THX in advance! :-)

we have the same cpu, i can manage from 1.67GHz (Yonah t2300) to
1.89GHz..
if u want to find a pll, try finding out what ur mobo brand is, or
what is ur desktop/laptop brand?

How exactly do you guys overclock your cpu using Setfsb? What's all
this talk about pll and finding our what your motherboard is?

Ok well I personally overclocked using ClockGen, your pll is
dependent on your motherboard (ex. my mother board is the gma 950) ,
if you find out which one you have (ex. ICS954123) you can change your
fsb speed which indirectly changes your cpu speed. In example if
you have a fsb at 133mhz and you have a multiplier of 10x then you cpu
speed will be 1.33 ghz.

And i have a Intel GMA 950 (945 Chipset)
Toshiba A200 1M5.

Is there any more information i need to provide you so i can find out

@Espionage724

yeah, i did, but i manage to increased it's FSB juz to 191MHZ and with
max clock 1.9GHz achieved with my little CPU ^^..btw, i tried to
increased it even further but my clock will only stuck on 1.9GHz
(1.89GHz average overclocked from standard 1.67GHz)..even if i tried
to increase it to value above 190 FSB, it will not have effect, it's
like it capped it self from damaging....lucky i guess..btw, i stop
overclock my CPU a while ago as i'm now more concerned with my CPU
lifespan...

Ok i get chipset error B0:D00:F0:R0x00 : 27a08086
B0:D00:F0:R0xC4 : 00000000
etc.... when i use ICS954227 or pretty much any other version
setfsb.

Overclocking laptops... they do design these within pretty tight tolernences...
Or just poorly design them

I finally got setfsb to work but on a different pll but I bsoded at
the exact frequency i bsoded at with clockgen anything even a little
over 1.75ghz. 1,750 mhz ok, 1,752 mhz stutters for a few seconds then
bsod.

What pll should I use for Setfsb? I have an HP Pavillion dv6000.
motherboard manufacturer, according to CPU-Z, is Quanta

If I need to provide screens, I will

Results:

the second PLL just crashes my pc, even when underclocking

the first PLL? well, sliding it one notch to the left seems to be
okay, i didnt test to see if it crashes later on

Sliding it two notches to the right equals black screen, pc still on.
One notch seems to work, until I click on my quick launch, and the
whole PC froze

Thats enough of OCing I have for one day

Thats very strange, I've managed to overclock mine from 1.86ghz to
2.401ghz. Thats about 130 notches?

Maybe Quanta motherboards are just not OC-able
