Hi all :)
im sorry that i have been away for awhile and causing all the
trouble...
it's been a hard time for me these days and all i can do is wait as
time heals anything :)
and also thanks for all the never ending support that u guys gave me
in recent times, when no one even care to support me, all of 9xxssf
here still support me all the way..and guess what? Im back!! and this
time stronger than ever! Come and bring me down again, all i can say
is Fck U!! with a big F...lol...of course that was not intended to
anyone here :)

as for a token of apologize , im back with a great news,
the V1.3 project is a go with windows 7 version of both 64 bit and 32
bit almost finish, that's common...
the special part is the project also will include XP version and
MacOSX (both hackintosh and old macbooks with GMA950 compatible and
for both 10.6 and 10.5)

the XP V1.3 Sherry driver will be develop not by just me...
it is a pleasure to invite the following member to join this project:

- Jose (MAD_BEAST)
- Espionage
- Tribaljet
- KinGPin
- Kiki (yes, u are invited :)
- and other developers that have experience in XP development and
anyone interested ^^

i do want to continue the legacy of XP, some might think that im
stupid on still developing for XP, but it is users choice to use what
they wanted to..
again, i have to admit, the V1.3 for XP is still immature, so i do not
guarantee the improvements, but i believe with all the developers
working on it, it may be possible to implant the software vertex mode
in XP driver thus giving the 400% boost in games, still windows 7 are
best for newer games so the performance gain in XP may vary. :(

as for the MacOSX driver, is it still under planning, but at least
there are certain features that are possible :
- increase memory up to 128mb of vram, for hackintosh only
- faster openGL process with aid from CPU (both gma950 macbooks and
hackintosh)
- vast improve in gaming performance (tested on my acer 5570, Snow
Leopard 10.6.6 with Halo Universal binary and warcraft 3)

other than that, this is just my come back notification and i hope
that u guys will still support me all the way :)
again i thank all of u for all these years (almost 2 years to be
correct :)
i am nobody without u guys
cheers ^^

All you needed was a little time to yourself and I knew you would recuperate. If you need any help when it comes to hardware or software issues please don't hesitate to ask, I'm still rather young to the scene but I'm more than willing to help out in anyway I can. By the way, any product that come with the angelictears stamp of approval is bound to impress lol.

WWP can actually work and playable, never test the game but i will look into it and put it in games test list...
Call of Duty 4 on the other hand is a little difficult mainly because of the required vertex processing mode, UBITYN like that i dont remember, in theory the game can be play because of most SM2 compatible card like the GeForce 8 series do actually have that problem also...nonetheless, i will look into it a bit more..me and the other developers will do all my best...u can be sure of that :)

Dreamweaver CS5 pretty much does all the coding for you, hardly any hand coding needed. Even with basic knowledge and a bit of trial and error you can get the job done pretty fast. Just depends on if you want to go the CSS route. You can get descent results with photoshop & flash pro, which creates it's own html code, if you prefer pixel based positioning over more relative positioning done with Dreamweaver.

Nice gadget is SiteGrinder 3.0, which cuts up your photoshop file into html compliant sites. Damn shame there is no fully hacked version out yet, aldo there is work done on that.

Not sure about the forums either. I build mine some weeks ago, which is pretty much done and ready for usage. Was waiting to hear from Jose what the general direction was, before finishing the job with some final touches. Also heard there was another forum in progress. So, your guess is as good as mine, i suppose.

Jose, why not start a general topic on stats for the new site and where you still need some help? Gladly join in, if you need a extra set of 2 left hands.

Hey, please continue the legacy of xp PLEASE. Thanks for your hard work.
why i say that is that my shit laptop when using windows 7, the internet cuts in and out because of lack of compatible mini lan card drivers. My only option is XP and it sucks. When i tried 7 modded drivers, my games fps went up by at least 50%, which is a lot when you have 5-10 fps in big league of legends fights, 50% more is 15 fps which was playable (but couldnt because of my internet)

So please, accept my humongeous thanks, embrace it! lol
thanks so much guys

Nice AngelicTears. Anybody happen to have the latest 950 gma (Win7
32bit) driver download (last one I had was v1.2rev 2)? The main site
has a dead link saying that it was removed by another party.

If you need a tester for the driver I wouldn't mind testing it. :)

A bit of input from the v1.2 rev2 driver: My laptop's fan seemed to
run a lot more on startup/shutdown for Windows 7, mostly I could hear
it loudly even if my PC was idle and not doing a thing.... (2 GB RAM,
Intel Pent Dual-Core T2080 @1.73 GHz ea, Intel 950 GMA). Was it an
overclocking tweak or just that time of day (on the normal driver it
does it once in awhile if idle AFTER I've been playing games)?

Is the link dead? the download link (mediafire) is still active as far as i know,
u can look into my blog,

as for the fan, its pretty normal :)
the V1.2 Sherry by default disable any power saving features, to get that extra juice it needed..
u can however enable it in the control panel where u can find the power setting under the the display setting tab...
again, my driver and also i believe any other driver released by the 9xxssf will not have any overclocking in it what so ever, we protect the safety of our users hardware so dont worry :) that's why it is important to only use drivers release by 9xxssf and not from other sources..

all SM 2.0 games, will fps increase in the games
that were already working with 1.2? sorry for very hard english. :)

im not making promises that all SM2 games can be play in V1.3, but i will promise to give all my best..
theory is, our GMA 950 still have alot more to give rather than frustrating average users of some games/application failed to start just because the intel graphics doesnt support it...there's a reason for why intel mentioned that our gma950/945 series are able to support up to vertex shader 3 and pixel shader 2 hardware..other than it is absurd, in theory a full SM2 support are possible even if its 50% software processed...
yes it is confusing but in an easy way, games that are already supported by V1.2 will have improvements varying from little to significant...while some games that cant run in V1.2, will hopefully be able to run with V1.3 :)

@renatourbano2k

it is possible actually :)
its still under development, but as soon as i distribute the codes to other developers, i will explain the technology behind it in future post :)

An idea that I had is why not modify the Control Panel so people can
choose their shader model rendering mode (Vertex/Pixel Shader 1.1 to
2.0, or activate software 3.0 pixel shader) or even find the string of
code for the Pixel Shader 3.0 Software Mode enabling and add that as
an option.

Somehow I think I may have to re-test Halo 2 with v1.3

Dont worry bro, ive combined both of the project Netbook and normal GMAs into one driver package :)
so V1.3 will be netbook compatible as well :)

Today i saw something at the Intel GMA wikipedia Page. It said GMA
3100(345) can support Software Vertex Shader 3.0 & Hardware Pixel
Shader 2.0

BTW, Anyone know what's the difference of vertex shader from pixel
shader?

The definition for Pixel Shaders is understandable, but Vertex Shaders are a bit more... detailed :p

Pixel Shader is somewhat easier to understand, fog, smoke, particle, some water effect, color shade, etc..all that are process by pixel shader...
vertex shader on the other hand are more complex, it involves where the 3D object to be appeared in a 2D plane space as our monitor screen for example...
some of example of vertex shader are the depth of an object, length of object to be drawn from a perspective field of view, how a cube would appear from top or bottom view, how a texture is adjust to be viewed from above or side..etc and etc...

Pixels is the amount of dots, so the texture/detail depth.

Vertex (Vertices) is a coordinates system so the object/texture is on
x,y,z and looks x,y,z far away, ect.

@danielPK

thanks bro :)
unfortunately i reformat my laptop back to windows platform, for development purposes, so i hope for all OSX users out there like u for testing :)
other factor including i recently convert all my development and IDE platform to notepad++ and Micro$oft Virtual Basic and C++ Express :)
with that said, the work done will be done 50% time than it take to build the V1.2, so release date will be shorter than before :)

also note that in theory, hackintosh are more easier to gain VRAM than GMA950 macbooks , but i will try my best :)

@hrsh91
thanks for the support bro :)
the confirm date of the release date is still not sure, as im busy with some of XP development and other work that i must do such as college assignments and part time work (need money recently so i have to divide my time for 3 of those things)

again for the development process, i have to ready the codes for XP for the other developers so that they can work on the driver as soon as possible...again XP is a collab work, windows 7 and OSX will be made by me as soon as the XP base code are finish and distribute to the developers ...again be patient and keep up the support as this will be a great project for all of us :)

also please spread the word and keep contributing by testing, folding in 9xxssf F@H team, and support me by donating
to keep me going in this harsh world :P

cheers ^^

Sure. But how do you do it without a credit card? I don't have it for
personal reasons.
I want to donate you. If I have a credit card I would donate you 50
bucks for your hard work.

Hmm, In theory, I don't see why it wouldn't work with real macs instead of just hackintosh. But then again this depends on what GMA device ID your working with (27A2 I think is in retail macs, 27AE (if that exists) I think is not however).

You're damn right 27AE exists, a proudful owner right here :)) But
it's probably due to macs using a single device ID, most likely
27A2/27A6, which are the primary/secondary IDs of 945GM IIRC.

hmm, ive read somewhere that the GMA950 VRAM limit are set in the SMBIOS or EFI setting code, so in theory the real mac can gain access to the driver VRAM setting by EFI patch or similar (im still a noob in mac system ^^)
so for hackintosh which uses a simulated EFI / SMBIOS / MACbios which ever, it is easier to manipulate that setting via script...
in theory at least...

also the package will hopefully include all 945 dev id...hopefully i have ime to do it... :(
