What is the best choices for the 3d-settings in intel gma properties;
should i leave s3tc texture commpression on or off for better
performance?

Triple Bufferig = Off
Anti-Alasing = Off
Driver Footprint = High (if you have good amount of RAM)

I could be wrong?

Well I noticed that in WoW, if it was off, I get higher FPS (little though)

Ansynchronous Flip (Off, On)
Triple Buffering (Default, Off, On)
Flipping Policy (Flip, Blit)
Depth Buffer Bit Depth (Default, 16 Bit Depth Buffer, 24 Bit Depth
Buffer)
Force S3TC Texture Compression (Off, On)
Force FXT1 Texture Compression (Off, On)
Driver Memory Footprint (Normal, Low, High)
Texture Color Depth (Desktop Color Depth, 16 Bits per Texel, 32 Bits
per Texel)
Anisotropic Filtering (Application Controlled, Off, On)

That's what mine has.

When I turned it on, WoW looked a bit blurry. I forget if I turned on both compression options or not.

Incase you didn't know, these settings only affect OpenGL applications.

yeah Espion is right this only affects OPEN GL, and Thank you very
much for the info bro :) thanks for posting this HOOOAH!
For MAXIMUM performance use this... but if it look so ulgy turn of
compress txtures

Ansynchronous Flip (Off)
Triple Buffering (Off)
Flipping Policy (Blit)
Depth Buffer Bit Depth (24 Bit Depth Buffer)
Force S3TC Texture Compression ( On)
Force FXT1 Texture Compression ( On)
Driver Memory Footprint (High)
Texture Color Depth ( 32 Bits per Texel)
Anisotropic Filtering (Off,)

:)

and why does 32bits/texel for textures increase performance?

Good question. In WoW (DX Mode) I didn't get a performance difference at all though with 16 vs 24 bit colors.

yeah actually thats a good question...
when i said this is the best setup for high performance i was trying
to give u the best performance without sacrifying the texture of the
game... if u use 16 bits the game will look horrible... like a Super
nes game, just like a game boy color :) or something like that

Is their a definition of what the options do anywhere? I'm curious to what that 1st option does...
