Here is the Intel Display Adapter Management Tool : http://www.mediafire.com/?mgy2zj5mzgq

This changes the game to run on Software Vertex Mode, i.e makes the
processor take up some shader work from the GMA, so that GPU can
process more shaders and increase FPS.

This helped X3100 a lot. See my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/akash1988
Games like Lost Planet, Crysis, POP 4, Left 4 Dead 2, Batman Arkham,
etc.. which used to lag like hell, are running with playable frames of
around 25 FPS.

So I hope this tool will work for GMA 950 as well. Test it.
Instructions on how to use are here: http://i34.tinypic.com/2gv25w4.jpg
This instruction is same for all games.

If you have a good processor, then I'm sure there will be FPS boost.
The tool runs perfect in Windows 7, has to be run in administrator
mode in Vista, but has some error in XP.

I Hope It Helped! Try it all.

i hate having a celeron. makes me feel..... different -.-' anyway, does this mean that shader intensive games must be set to software vertex processing?

You helped solve my FPS problem in Torchlight. I received
approximately 50% increase in graphical performance which is very
good.

Thanks for the program!

Dude, I think this is the exact same thing as the "addgame.reg" tweak.

Thanks for sharing though, its like a more user-friendly way to
emulate Software Vertex Shading

Yes I think its the same thing as addreg. But this is more friendly to
use. A good processor will make game runs better with software Vertex
processing.

I'll test some games and let you know how it did.

yup, comfirm, this is a GUI for the addgame.reg tweak....i didnt know
addgame registry also enable software vertex, im gonna try and
experiment a few things ..

I thought the addgam.reg tweak only did enable software vertex?

Or maybe it only made the game think there was HwTnL?

Any More improvements in games?

hmm, so far ive tested, it's the same as enabling and disabling
addgame.reg tweak...but also, this is the proper way to change it,
thus a proper way for the cpu to support GPU processing..so yeah,it
should improve any game generally..according to user's CPU.

Which is better, gma950 or nvidia 7025???

Windows XP has errors, I've tried the 1.1 and 1.5 version. Oh well,
back to the manual addgame registry tweak... ...

Obviously Nvidia 7025. But NVIDIA 7025 is almost same as Intel 965 i.e
X3100 GMA. So go for motherboards with onboard ATi HD Radeon 3200. Its
much better and cheap.

YA so use it in Windows 7.

Netbooks ftw eh?

I'll try it.

I wonder if I'll have better performance since I've only 1.46 GHz Dual-
Core so...

The Reg add is a feature which enables the emulation of Vertex shader
2.0 and TnL, it enables the services added to the modded driver
throught the modification previously done and the set upof certain
system regs.
This software is to allow an integraded GPU to perform the
calculations of the vertex shader easier, allowing us to modificate
the way it will perform the calculations.

thanks for this weapon akash, i consider it one of the breaktrhoughs
of the 9xx amazing tool.
GREAT JOB SOLDIER!

Or is Intel really pressing that hard?

Hehe We are all soldiers here, trying our best to make games run on
Intel GMA. This tool has helped X3100 a lot though. So I wanted to
share it with GMA 950 users. Keep on posting your results here, and
try spreading this software to all Intel GMA users.

Thank you so much brother for this... im sure that we will get great
performances with this new weapon.

doesnt work with css. I changed the hl2.exe to software but saw no
improvements in fps. wierd?

Did you already add hl2.exe using "addgame.reg"?

The tool does the exact same thing

Just for a notice, L4D2 will not play properly with the software
setting if you use a GMA950. All the textures mess up and there are no
character or weapon models. I'll let these pictures speak for me:

http://s292.photobucket.com/albums/mm33/Painseeker/?action=view&current=left4dead22009-11-0322-45-48-13.png

Using the hardware mode is the only way the game is playable with this
tool.

Ya some games might not show any improvement. Like mirror's edge
showed no difference on my X3100. And its important to have a good
processor, to get any benefit from this.

No, it was already on the application set to software. but no
improvements.

It does help on X3100, try testing on other games as well. And for
Left 4 Dead 2, it got huge FPS boost with software vertex mode. In
hardware vertex FPS was 10, when in software mode, FPS increased to
25, and is lot more playable with zero lags. Here is the video:

well tf 2 is playable----same fps with addgame.reg or this tool

so, basically this tool does the same exact thing as addgame.reg?

Also it says I have 2 display adapters. I imagine it does this to everyone else?
