Hello support,

I have install lanschool in one of my lab. And when I start the machine, the error message is as follow.
"will not be able to support full-screen dos-box viewing without vuser.386." Lanschool is working properly, it is just very annoying to clic on the OK button each time.

I am running L:\WSCHOOL\LSW_95\WSTUDENT.EXE with Windows95C, IE5, and the latest drivers for everything on Novell 4.11 servers, by the way.

Vuser.386 is everywhere (c:\windows, c:\windows\system, c:\, \\server\sys\LOGIN\WSCHOOL\LSW_95) but the worst is not that. I dont need lanschool for DOS so my question is this : Can I remove dos support so this message can disaper or if not, how can I remove this message?

Thanks

Alexandre

What version of LANSchool are you using? This error generally means that the correct Vuser.386 was not copied to this workstation. You can copy the correct version from a working workstation, you also need to check the entry in the system.ini file under the section 386. If
you are at version 5.0 you can install the 5.02 patch this has a new Vuser file in it. Version 5.5 is written without DOS support so you could upgrade to version 5.5 to get rid of the error.

Hi support,

I am using Lanschool version 5.5.
I have tryed to remove the vuser.386, or put the vuser.386 of 1995 and 1999, but the result is the same.

In my system.ini there is no reference of vuser.386.
