Look for the existence of the ir50_32.dll in the \windows\system directory in Windows* 95/98, or the \windows\system32 directory in Windows NT* 4.0. If this file is present,
then a version of the Indeo(R) 5 codec is present on the target machine.
It will never hurt to include and install of the codec with your software, as this will ensure that the user always has the latest codecs installed on his machine. The latest
codecs are available in the iv5setup.exe file, which you can download from http://developer.intel.com/ial/indeo/video/driver.htm.
