Hi,

I'm trying to get my ISA, PCI, and serial devices recognised
by my GA-586TX motherboard after a reinstall. I've run
the Mainboard patch on the accompanying floppy, but the
PIIX 4 refused to install, as did your INF update program I
downloaded from Intel's website. The programs remind me that
I need a certain type of OS and chipset - which I have anyway.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ian

Which operating system are you trying to install?

Win95b.

(Although it's already installed. The problem is getting it to recognise
the chipset and any peripherals. The network card was something of
a battle; I had to give up on the PCI slots and use an ISA card. The
display card required a driver seearch. Now I'm trying to get the
ISA sound card and serial graphics tablet to work.)
