I'm looking for a site to mirror the pdf version of my web site. It's almost
4M bytes and growing.

The pdf document is a (reformatted) rendition of the frames version of my
site.

The frames version: http://www.interfacebus.com/frames.html

I took the pdf file off-line last week when I hit my server limit. Update
history may be found here:
http://www.interfacebus.com/Web_pdf_DownLoad.html

The link on that page points to a filler page until I upload the file again.

I'd prefer a company, college or university. If any one has any interest
send me an e-mail and I'll be sure to get the 'pdf' back on line for review.
Also, I'm always looking for a sponsor.

The normal web version (non-frames) may be found here:
http://www.interfacebus.com/

email address listed on the home page. Thanks for any help.

Why don't you switch to DjVu? Takes up about half the space of PDF.

Perhaps because every operating system in the known universe has a PDF
viewer, often pre-installed on the system?

Besides, have you priced a 30gig hard drive lately?

Why do you want to do it in PDF? Realize that a 4M PDF download can be a big
hit on somebody's bandwidth - at only four downloads a day you're looking at
a monthly bandwidth hit of 1/2 a Gig - out of the price range of some
low-end web hosts - and that's just the PDF, not including the rest of the
content on the website.-Remember, you gotta pay for extra bandwidth. PDFs
can cost a webmaster a lot of money.

http://Microcontroller.com is up to 250M, and even at 53,000 visits a month
I've got no bandwidth issues, so there's still no need to mirror the site.

You've got a good, clean site - I don't see why you need to mirror it.

Well, I'm the one mirroring it, and I don't mind :)

I don't want to mirror the site, only the pdf version of the site. Why did I
make a pdf file: I use it at work, in connection with the 600Megs of linked
files it points to on a CD.

With HTML files only being around 12K, I didn't have bandwidth issues with
out the pdf file. Yes 4Meg is a big hit for some downloader's, but I do
offer a zipped version which is only 2.5Megs. How ever I don't really like
down loading zipped files (I have a cable modem).

As you have seen my new 'pdf' mirror at zws.com seems to be doing fine.

I only get about 20,000 hits a month (when my server or counter is
working), but many people have down loaded the site in pdf over the last few
years. So people can use my site without going to the server. Care to trade
site links? I'm listed as 7/10 on google and have a Courtesy Links page at:

Thanks for the words.
