Hello, I have around 80 iMC008FLSP-15/25-S Flash cards and we are
contemplating running Windows 98. On our test bed, when we plug the Flash
card into the PCMCIA slot, Win98 informs me that it knows what the card is
etc. etc. and then asks me to pick the driver.

There is a generic Flash Series 2 driver but when I select it, it warns me
that the driver I selected is not designed for the card I inserted.

Do you have a driver anywhere ? What is the proper installation tecnique ?

Thanks,

Hi,

First, the part number iMC009FLSP listed below is for an Intel® Series 2+ card
not an Intel® Series 2 card. The part number for an Intel® Series 2 card is
iMC0010FLSA. This may explain the warning "The driver selected is not designed
for the card inserted" that you are receiving.

The software (TrueFFS*) needed to access the Intel® Series 2+ card is now
integrated into Windows98*. With earlier operating systems, the driver was not
integrated and required a separate installation. I was wondering if you
originally had Windows95* with TrueFFS* and recently upgraded to Windows98*.
If so, there maybe some conflict between the two TrueFFS* drivers. I recommend
that you uninstall TrueFFS* and then reinstall it through Windows98*. Please
let me know if this information helps resolve your issue.
