I have a Seiko SmartLabel EZ-30 printer, which works very well on the
serial port of my PC, regardless whether I use the SLP software or
simply the Windows driver.
My Netport XL works equally well with my parallel printers.
The Seiko doesn't work with the Netport. As long the printer is off, the
port status is "offline", which is kinda correct. When I switch on the
printer, the port status changes to "Error" and I can't print. I tried
all the different handshake options with no luck.
I could not find out what this means - "Error" is simply a bit too
generic.
Please advise.
