I have a netport express pro that on post will flash red 7 times suggesting
no communication through the RJ-45 port. I've tried a different cable and
port on my hub but it still flashes. Is there anything that can be done
such as flashing an update into it or is it non-repairable?

To continue, I should just be able to go straight from the box, plug in
power and ethernet cable and get a solid green activity light and a green
light on my hub without any software setup shouldn't I? Is there something
I can do through the serial port to reset something?

The info just keeps rolling in. I read the Intel web site on printing a
test page so I did that. I've mistakenly been sold a Token Ring server
instead of an Ethernet one. Any possibility that a bios flash will make it
an ethernet server or are the servers electronically different? I'm sure
this is a dumb question.
