Any help with this problem with the deskjet would be greatly appreciated.

What version of the firmware are you running on this NetportExpress(TM) PRO/100 print server? When you set the port speed in the Netport(R) Manager software what did you set it too? Perhaps you could
set it to low or software. If you go into PCONSOLE is the queue attached to only one print server? What happens if you drop a text file directly into the printer queue in the Novell Netware* file
server? Does the print job come out on the printer?
Let me know what the status is.
Thanks,

I am running an identical configuration and trying to set up an HP 720C. Are
you using "Capture" for the port and 2) Is the printer set up under Windows as
a "Local" printer or a "Network" printer. Currently when I try to print I get
a message that the printer is not responding and the print queue remains empty.
I am having some other problems with the Print server and only started playing
with the HP720C after I saw your post.
Please advise. Bob Hobbs
The only time you should have to use a capture command is if you are using a DOS
based application, which doesn't understand anything except printing to a physical
port.
In Microsoft Windows* 95 if you have installed the port monitor utility you will
want to configure the printer as a local port and then go back into properties and
change it to the Intel NetportExpress port. Otherwise, you can configure the print
server as a network printer, and browse the network and choose the appropriate
share under the print servers name. If you configure the print server in this
fashion please understand you will be printing in a peer to peer environment and
can have errors in Microsoft windows* 95 if two print jobs try to print at the same
time.
Please let me know how you have the NetportExpress(TM) print server configured.
