phone line adapter

I recently picked up Intel's phoneline adapter home networking system.  The internet connection works great, but I can't get the computers to talk to one another. 
 
Using the system is supposed to result in an installation procedure to pop up after the hardware and 'net conection have been installed - no such luck here.
 
Any suggestions?  Am I missing something?
